See where your app ranks for every keyword.
Dekadans checks your position in real App Store search results every day, for every keyword you care about, in every storefront you sell in.
Why App Store keyword rankings matter
Most people find new apps by searching the App Store. If your app shows up in the top few results for a term people actually search, you get installs without paying for them. If it sits at position 40, almost nobody scrolls that far. Tracking keyword rankings tells you which terms are working, which ones are slipping, and whether a metadata change helped or hurt.
What Dekadans tracks for each keyword
Rank
Your position in the live App Store search results for that keyword, store and device. A dash means your app wasn't in the results we received. Rankings are measured as soon as you add a keyword and again every 24 hours, so you build a daily history from day one.
Popularity (5–100)
How often a term is searched, relative to other terms in the same store. Apple doesn't publish search volume, so popularity is a relative score, not a count of searches. Use it to compare keywords against each other.
Difficulty (0–100)
How crowded and competitive the results for a term are. A popular keyword with low difficulty is the sweet spot; a popular keyword with very high difficulty usually needs a strong app before it pays off.
175 storefronts, 5 Apple platforms
Rankings differ by country and by device. Dekadans tracks the same keyword separately in any of the 175 App Store storefronts (United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and more) and on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro. Localizing for a new market? Add the local-language keywords for that store and watch them independently.
Find the next keywords to target
Tracking shows where you stand today. Research shows where to go next:
- Keyword suggestions for any App Store app, with popularity and difficulty.
- Live App Store search to see exactly which apps rank for a term right now, and where yours lands.
- Competitor keyword ideas pulled from the names and subtitles of the top 10 apps for a keyword.
- Most searched keywords in a store, overall or for one App Store category.
Works with your AI assistant
Every tracking and research feature is also available as a tool on the Dekadans MCP server. Connect Claude, Codex, Cursor or another MCP client and ask things like “which of my keywords dropped this week?” or “track the five most popular suggestions for my app in Germany.”

Frequently asked questions
How often are App Store keyword rankings updated?
Every tracked keyword is measured when you add it and again every 24 hours, on every plan.
Why doesn't my app rank for a keyword?
Usually because the word isn't in your app name, subtitle or keyword field, or because stronger apps fill the results. Add the word to your metadata, ship an update, and track the keyword to see when your app starts appearing.
Are App Store rankings different on iPhone and iPad?
Yes. iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro have separate search results, so the same app can rank differently on each. Dekadans tracks each platform separately.
Can I track keyword rankings in other countries?
Yes. You can track any keyword in any of the 175 App Store storefronts. Each store has its own results, so track local-language keywords in the stores where you've localized.
