Why is my app’s rank missing?
A missing rank means your app was not found in the returned search results for that keyword, platform and store. It does not prove the app is absent from the App Store. Check the selected store and platform. An unpublished app cannot have a live search ranking.
Why do I see a dash instead of a popularity or difficulty score?
A dash means no score is available, not zero demand or zero competition. Check the last measurement time and try a refresh. If the provider fails while keywords are being added, the keywords can still be saved without fresh measurements.
When does my research limit reset?
At 00:00 UTC. Successful research requests count once, including cached requests. Dashboard and MCP share the allowance. Failed requests and invalid inputs do not count. Tracking keywords and refreshing tracked measurements are not research calls.
What does ‘Data provider is not configured’ mean?
The API process does not have its data-provider key configured. In a local development environment, set ASTRO_API_KEY in the API environment and restart that API process; check that an older process is not still serving the API port. Do not put this key in browser code or send it in a support message. On a hosted instance, the service operator needs to fix the configuration.
Why does my API key not work with a REST endpoint?
REST app, usage and research endpoints require a signed-in session cookie. Bearer API keys authenticate the MCP endpoint, not REST. For MCP, use a client with Streamable HTTP support, send Authorization: Bearer followed by your key, and check that the key has not been deleted.
Can I restore a deleted keyword’s history?
No. Deleting a tracked keyword permanently removes its saved measurements. You can track the same keyword again, but it starts collecting new history. Deletion frees the tracking slot.
