App Store screenshot sizes
Every accepted screenshot size in pixels, which ones App Store Connect requires, and which it scales for you. Sizes are portrait; landscape is the same with width and height swapped.
What you actually need
- iPhone: at least one screenshot for the iPhone with Dynamic Island medium display (1179 × 2556 or 1206 × 2622).
- iPad: if your app runs on iPad, at least one for the 13" display (2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732).
- Up to 10 screenshots per size, as .png, .jpg or .jpeg, with no transparency (alpha channel).
- If your UI looks the same on every size, upload only the largest required size; App Store Connect scales it down for the rest.

Checked October 2026 against Apple's screenshot specifications. Older 4", 3.5" and 9.7" sizes are still accepted but rarely worth making.

How many screenshots can I upload to the App Store?
Between 1 and 10 screenshots per device size and localization, in PNG or JPEG format.
Can App Store screenshots have transparent backgrounds?
No. Screenshots can't contain an alpha channel or transparency. Export them as flattened PNG or JPEG files.
