Key points

• Dekadans helps you track and research App Store keywords. The data comes from third parties and App Store results and may be inaccurate or delayed.
• The free plan is free with no time limit. Pro renews automatically every month or year until you cancel; cancel any time in Settings. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record.
• Use the data for your own apps and clients. Don't resell it, scrape it or use it to build a competing product or train AI models.
• We're not affiliated with Apple, and we're not responsible for what Apple does with your app.
• The service is provided as is. Our liability is limited as described in section 13.

1. The service

Dekadans (“the service”) measures App Store keyword rankings, popularity and difficulty, and provides keyword research, through the website, the web app, a REST API, an MCP server for AI assistants and a free keyword checker. It's a decision-support tool: use its data as one input among others, not as the only basis for business decisions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old. If you use Dekadans for a company, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that company.

3. Your account and API keys

• Give accurate sign-up details and keep your email address current; we send notices there.
• Keep your password and API keys secret. API keys have full access to your account. You're responsible for everything done with your account and keys; revoke a key in Settings as soon as you suspect misuse, and tell us.
• One free account per person or organization. Don't create accounts to get around plan limits.

4. Plans, billing and refunds

Current limits and prices are on the pricing page. Research calls are counted per UTC calendar month on Free and per UTC day on Pro; tracked keywords are refreshed automatically about once a day. We may change the free plan, the free checker and their limits at any time.

Fair use. “Unlimited” on Pro means no fixed limit for normal use of your own apps. To keep the service fast and affordable for everyone, very high usage (for example thousands of tracked keywords or hundreds of research calls a day) may be limited. If you reach such a limit, you'll see a message, and you can email us to discuss your needs.

• Payments. Pro is sold through Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”), which acts as our merchant of record and reseller. When you buy Pro, you buy it from Polar under the Polar buyer terms, and these terms govern your use of Dekadans. Polar processes your payment, charges applicable sales tax or VAT and issues your invoices.
• Free trial. Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. You enter a payment method at checkout and are charged the plan price when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. One trial per person or organization.
• Renewal. Pro is billed in advance and renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period at the then-current price, until you cancel.
• Cancellation. Cancel any time in Settings → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep Pro until then and move to the free plan afterwards. Your data isn't deleted, but you can't add apps or keywords beyond the free plan's limits.
• Refunds. If you're not satisfied, email [email protected] within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it in full. After that, payments are non-refundable, except where the law or Polar's buyer terms require otherwise. Refunds are issued through Polar to your original payment method.
• Price changes. We'll give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to them. It takes effect at your next renewal; if you don't agree, cancel before then.
• Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails and isn't resolved, your account moves to the free plan.

5. Acceptable use

You may use Dekadans and its data for your own apps and for clients you do ASO work for. You may not:

• resell, sublicense, redistribute or publish data from Dekadans in bulk, or offer it as part of your own data product or API;
• use the service or its data to build or improve a competing product, or to train or fine-tune machine learning models;
• scrape the website, or access the service by automated means other than the documented API and MCP server within your plan limits;
• bypass or probe quotas, rate limits, authentication or security, or share accounts or keys to pool limits;
• overload, disrupt or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it;
• impersonate others, or use the service unlawfully or in breach of Apple's terms.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without notice where the risk to the service or other users requires it.

6. AI assistants and the MCP server

You decide which AI assistants to connect. Anything an assistant does with your API key counts as your action, including adding keywords and using research calls. Data you let an assistant access is processed by its provider under that provider's terms, which you're responsible for reviewing. We provide the MCP server as is and don't guarantee compatibility with any specific client.

7. Third-party data and Apple

• Accuracy. Rankings, popularity, difficulty, suggestions and app details come from third-party data providers and App Store results, which change constantly and vary by location, device and time. We don't guarantee they're accurate, complete or current. A missing rank means your app wasn't in the results we received, not proof that it doesn't rank.
• Availability. If Apple or a data provider changes or restricts access, we may change, reduce or remove features.
• No affiliation. Dekadans is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc. Apple and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.
• Your responsibility. You're responsible for your App Store metadata and for following Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and developer terms. We aren't liable for rejections, ranking changes, removals or account actions by Apple.

8. Your data

You own the data you add, such as your app list and keywords. You give us a license to host and process it to run the service, as described in our privacy policy. Public App Store data we fetch for you, like search results and popularity scores, may be cached and served to other users; it never includes who asked for it. You can delete your data at any time; we don't have to keep it after your account is closed.

9. Our property and feedback

The service, its software, design, documentation and the Dekadans name and logo belong to Dekadans. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; no other rights are granted. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Dekadans running, but don't promise any uptime or offer an SLA. We may update, change or discontinue features, and take the service down for maintenance. If we shut Dekadans down entirely, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using Dekadans at any time and ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your use creates risk for the service or others, or if the law requires it. Sections 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 15 survive termination.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and all data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement and accuracy. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that its data will be accurate or meet your needs.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dekadans and its owners, employees and suppliers won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, rankings, data or goodwill, arising from the service or its data, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law where you live (including in the EEA, UK and Australia).

14. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you'll defend and compensate Dekadans against third-party claims, and related costs including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service or its data, or your App Store activities. This doesn't apply to consumers where local law forbids it.

15. Disputes

Before starting any formal claim, email [email protected] describing the issue. We'll both try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days. If you're a consumer in the EEA or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring claims in your local courts.

16. General

• Changes. We may update these terms. For material changes we'll notify you by email or in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them. If you don't, stop using the service.
• Entire agreement. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
• Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, it's limited to the minimum extent needed and the rest stays in effect.
• No waiver. Not enforcing a right now doesn't mean we give it up.
• Assignment. We may transfer these terms in a merger, acquisition or sale of the service. You may not transfer them without our written consent.
• Force majeure. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages of Apple, data providers or infrastructure providers.
• Language. These terms are written in English; if a translation differs, the English version prevails.
